Free food distribution Monday outside Wally Choice Community Center - Montclair Local

Embrace Relief will hold a free food distribution event using its mobile market truck on Monday outside of the Wally Choice Community Center at 49 Maple Avenue, in Glenfield Park. The food distribution start time is 10 a.m.

The event is open to the public and is free of charge. Anyone interested can walk up and grab a pre-packaged food pack or hop on the mobile market truck and “shop” for what they want.

All market products are free of charge and individuals and families will receive reusable bags to “shop” with and take home.

The free food packages include:

  • One USDA-inspected and approved frozen meat package
  • Four boxes of pasta
  • Three cans of green beans
  • Three cans of corn
  • Three cans of tuna
  • Two cans of chickpeas
  • Two cans of kidney beans
  • A six-cookie sleeve of Oreos
  • Five juice boxes
  • One case of juice (12 bottles)
  • One bottle of ketchup
  • One bottle of vegetable oil
  • One bottle of honey
  • Six travel-size bottles of hand sanitizer
  • Seven packs of antibacterial wipes

One food package will be provided per family.
