Week 6 Fantasy Football Waiver QB Targets, Prime Free Agent Adds and Lineup Tips - Seahawks.com

Week 6 Waiver Targets: Quarterbacks

Daniel Jones, Giants: You will have to monitor his recovery from a concussion, but Jones was Fantasy QB6 on NFL.com heading into Week 5 and has shown real signs of progress as a passer while continuing to be a significant rushing threat. Jones passed for a career-high 402 yards in Week 4.

Sam Darnold, Panthers: He is QB10 on NFL.com so far this season. Darnold already has passed for 300 yards three times this year and has rushed for five TDs. He has benefitted from a good supporting cast in Carolina and scored 25-plus Fantasy points in Weeks 3 and 4.

Matt Ryan, Falcons: This longtime prolific passer can still get the job done, but do keep in mind he has a Week 6 bye. Ryan had four TD passes in Week 4 and his second 300-yard game of the season in Week 5. You can consider adding Ryan and another QB on this list for potential options in Weeks 6 and 7.

Jameis Winston, Saints: Winston passed for four TDs for the second time this season in Week 5. After a Week 6 bye and a matchup with the Seahawks, Winston can be considered for starting usage in games vs. Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Tennessee. Even if you aren't one of the Fantasy players looking to replace Wilson, Winston should be considered as a quality pickup. He may also get Michael Thomas back for the Fantasy playoff drive. As with Ryan, you can add Winston and another QB for usage in Weeks 6 and 7. Both passers should remain as viable options beyond that point, too.

Taylor Heinicke/Ryan Fitzpatrick, Washington: Heinicke threw eight TD passes in Weeks 2 through 4. He had 20-plus Fantasy points in each week. Fitzpatrick may return soon, but either Washington QB is capable of being a good fill-in option. You can also consider streaming Washington and New Orleans QBs.

Carson Wentz, Colts: A healthier Wentz passed for 402 yards and two TDs on Monday night. His upcoming matchups include Houston, San Francisco, Tennessee and the New York Jets.

Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars: The rookie passed for 273 yards in Week 5, his second-highest yardage total so far. He has also rushed for TDs in each of the past two games. Lawrence can supply at least adequate Fantasy totals while he continues to improve as a pro. He has a bye in Week 7.

Justin Fields, Bears: He has been installed as the regular starter for Chicago, so add him with the potential promise of starting Fields as the passing totals hopefully rise in the weeks ahead.

Teddy Bridgewater, Broncos: He has been a steady performer for Denver, and has thrown two TD passes in three of four starts. Bridgewater is certainly worth an add in deeper leagues.

Two-QB league/Superflex Option: Geno Smith, Seahawks: In the two-QB superflex formats, Smith has instant appeal as he readies to start in Week 6 at Pittsburgh. Smith performed admirably vs. the Rams when called on, as he scored 9.5 Fantasy points in a relief role. Smith started 29 games in his first two NFL seasons and now will be working with the best WR duo of his career, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. He certainly can slide into lineups as one of your two QB starters and generate some quality Fantasy totals.
