The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to spend big in free agency, only this time they didn't have to outbid anybody. Darious Williams agreed to terms on a three-year, $30 million deal with Jacksonville Wednesday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Williams will receive $18 million guaranteed and the deal and max out to $39 million. Per NFL Network, Williams had higher offers -- but came to Jacksonville since that's where he was born and raised. Williams was 17th on Pete Prisco's list of the top 100 free agents.

One of the underrated cornerbacks on the market, Williams was overlooked because he played opposite of Jalen Ramsey with the Los Angeles Rams. He started 13 games last year and recorded 71 tackles and nine passes defensed with zero interceptions. As the primary defender in coverage, Williams allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete 64.6% of their passes for an 80.6 passer rating.

Williams was undrafted in 2018 and signed with the Baltimore Ravens, only to land with the Rams as a waiver pickup. He worked his way into the starting lineup in 2020 and never relinquished the role. His best season was in 2020, when Williams finished with four interceptions and 14 passes defensed in 16 games (10 starts).

Williams is expected to start in the Jaguars' secondary at cornerback opposite Shaquill Griffin with Tyson Campbell also in the mix. Jacksonville has spent big in free agency, agreeing to reported deals with wide receiver Christian Kirk (4 years, $73M), right guard Brandon Scherff (3 years, $49.5M) defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi (3 years, $30M), tight end Evan Engram (1 year, $9M), linebacker Foye Oluokun (3 years, $45M), and wide receiver Zay Jones (3 years, $24M).

Jacksonville has spent an estimated $259.5 million in free agency.
